Elongating your exhalation in movement can have multiple benefits

What is the benefit of trying to perform this entire flow on one continuous exhalation?

Number one: you will almost instantaneously increase carbon dioxide levels in your body, which not only increases your stress tolerance, but also increases blood flow to the muscle, emboldening your mobility efforts.

Number two: extending your exhale is going to strengthen your diaphragm, your primary breathing muscle, that contributes to greater lung capacity, which is linked with longevity

Number three: with an extended exhalation, you are stabilizing your lower back as you go through this mobility flow. That will have you moving more from the joints that you intend to mobilize such as your hips.
