Instead of doing crunches, do this!

Instead of doing crunches, do this!

Training your CORE to work in functional movements is so key for injury prevention.

Additionally, more muscles are working synergistically to support your spine, so that when you flex your abs, a lot of other muscles are working in conjunction with the anterior, or front of body, core…. training muscles to work together, so each muscle is giving each other a helping hand is a primary pillar of injury prevention.

Not saying that crunches are bad, because crunching up out of bed is a key, functional movement, and you should learn how to do it correctly… It’s also an amazing way to isolate the abdominals… If performed correctly that is.

How many of you finish off your workout with 30 crunches, But barely feel your abs? This could be because you’re not adequately stabilizing your spin and isolating the muscle to perform the action of a sit up

Learning to use your breathing core in conjunction with all movement is going to help you target the intended muscle group, and also teach you to have a strong sensation as to what the core is when you’re performing Functional movement such assquats and lunges. I highly recommend connecting your breathing core to the exercises that come with the Ab-Ribbon to learn how to use your breath with your core to become more functional.
