Try this standing core exercise using Ab-Ribbon!

 

There are many exercises that can be done in the standing position that rival those down on the ground. If you are someone who has a hard time getting down on the ground…or just doesn’t feel like it, do STANDING CORE!

The key: connecting to your BREATHING CORE

It’s extremely easy to pump your arm into a band without connecting deeply to your core…you will certainly get a burn in your arm, but not necessarily in your core.

You must use both your inhale and exhale to mobilize movement in your pelvis, both tighten and loosen your Ab-Ribbon (or visualize a ribbon tied at the base of your ribs), and make sure that you are finding your COMPLETE exhale in order to increase activation of all of those tiny muscle fibers deep that keep your spine stable!
